In a Vase on Monday - "Purple Rain"
It was a dreary, cold, drizzling weekend with no sign of the sun. Monday has continued in this fashion. This is very unusual for spring in Williamsburg, Virginia! My flowers are soggy and droopy, but no matter. The show must go on! Here is my In a Vase on Monday edition, a garden meme every Monday hosted by Cathy at Rambling in the Garden. You can visit her blog to see more In a Vase on Monday selections from fellow garden bloggers.
What's in the vase?
Columbine 'Blue Barlow'
Verbena 'Homestead Purple'
Deutzia 'Yuki Snowflake'
Catmint 'Walkers Low'
Dianthus from the Scent First series
Pansies
Lovely combination Leanne
ReplyDeleteThank you Christina!
ReplyDeleteThe dark single colour columbines are so striking, aren't they, and they mirror the botch on your pansy perfectly! Thanks for sharing your pretty vase today, Leanne
ReplyDeleteThank you Cathy!
DeleteThey don't look at all droopy to me! I especially love the pretty Deutzia flowers.
ReplyDeleteThank you Kris! Yes, I love the Deutzia flowers too. I planted them about three years ago and this is the first year that they are covered in flowers.
DeleteA lovely arrangement - pure happiness!
ReplyDeleteThank you Eliza!
DeleteVery pretty, cheering up the drizzly weather and mood.
ReplyDeleteAnother rainy day today, so it is nice to have some flowers in the house.
DeleteRaining here in Chapel Hill too Leanne. Your spring flowers are lovely. I like the deutzia. /susie
ReplyDeleteI feel like we live in Seattle Susie! Day four of straight rain.
DeleteThose pansies do tie it in all together so lovely! Have great memories from times spent in Williamsburg! Even on rainy days!!
ReplyDeleteSo funny, the pansies were the last flowers that I picked and they do seem to make it work.
